Marathoning Giveaway!

I had an overwhelming urge to go to the bookstore today and pick up a running book or two for some night time reading, so that’s exactly what I did! I picked up two books:

  • Marathoning for Mortals [John Bingham and Jenny Hadfield]
  • Complete Book of Women’s Running [Dagny Barrios]

Obviously I did my hair and make up just for you guys! And yes, this is how I smile for pictures.

I actually bought TWO copies of Marathoning for Mortals (one for me and one for you guys!) because I thought it would be a great giveaway item! The reviews on amazon say that it’s great for beginners as well as seasoned runners and is overall a great read. It even comes with training schedules.

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is comment on this post by May 5th (my birthday! woopwoop!)

To score some additional entries you can:

1. Tweet about this giveaway (leave a comment with your twitter handle so I can check!)

  9. I would absolutely love to receive a book! πŸ™‚ I’m a new runner (this summer will be running and my 2nd “anniversary” πŸ™‚ ), and I have currently run a half and a full marathon. I’m in the process of training for a full at the end of May, and will be running a half marathon this weekend for practice. I love running, but I don’t know much about it yet, so receiving a book would definitely help further my knowledge!

  10. I liked Kara Goucher’s Running for Women. It’s geared more for beginners but also had some helpful tips for more experienced too. (stand in the porta potty line with the most men at races- haha)

  11. I’m running my first 1/2 in June and I would totally love to win that book. I’ll be running my first marathon next year for sure. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  12. I’m coming back from an injury and I could use all the advise I could get! Would love to win one of these books!!
